Last week the Year 1 children visited the farm at Easton and Otley College Farm to learn more about habitats. For their topic this term the children have been looking at mini-beasts. They went to the farm to see which mini-beasts they could find and to make a mini-beast home. When they got to the farm the children split into classes: Foxes class stayed in to make marbles, butter and mini-beast homes. Woodpeckers class went outside first for a tour around the farm. They saw cows, pigs, chickens and some sheep.
The children had a great time and have lots of ideas and things to write about back in school. Thank you to everyone who helped.
