Norfolk County Music Festival

The Music Festival is a fantastic opportunity for the children to perform at an amazing venue in the company of children from other schools and to listen to others perform as well. An adjudicator gives encouraging advice and praise for all aspects of their performance.
The Choir, the Belleplate Team and the Recorder Group have all participated in the Norfolk County Music Festival this week. The Choir sang at St. Andrews Hall along with many other school choirs. The Belleplates and Recorders played at Central Baptist Church where a variety of other instruments were also played.
The adjudicators said:
The choir sang, Hear the Rain and Morningtown Riot. The adjudicator praised their clear and bright splashes and pitter patters. The choir watched their conductor closely and had a nice steady rhythm. They showed good ensemble and some lovely changes of dynamics which keeps the song alive and exciting. (Awarded Commended + certificate)
The recorders played, Hot Cross Buns and Joe Joe. The children all showed lots of concentration and were able to keep the music together by listening carefully to each other.
(Awarded Commended certificate)
The Belleplate Team played, Rock-a-bye Baby, Little Bird and Old MacDonald. All the children showed much concentration on stage. The adjudicator liked the sleigh bells notes in Little Bird.
