In Hedgehogs Class our topic for the Summer term is “Let's go on a super safari!”
The children will be learning about different habitats and the plants and animals that can be found within them. The focus will be on habitats found in Africa and comparing these to habitats and animals found in England.
We will investigate the conditions needed for healthy plant growth and study how animals have adapted to their environment. We will study famous explorers including Charles Darwin and David Attenborough and look at their contribution to science. At the end of our topic the challenge will be for the children to plan their own safari.
As well as our topic we will also complete a variety of different learning activities during our themed weeks of “Rio” and “Healthy Living Week”.
We will also be going on some exciting trips to Africa Alive , the UEA for our Sports Day and to the theatre.
Please look on our class page later in the term for photos of our work and of our trips.
