Homework:

On Thursday your child will receive maths and Big Writing homework.
Maths homework should now be competed on line using Maths Whizz. It is important that your child completes at least one hour of Maths Whizz per week. We will receive a report each week of how much time your child has spent on their homework. If you have any problems with homework then please speak to Miss Anderson as soon as possible.

Big Writing given on a Thursday will help your child with their Big Write work on Friday. Please encourage your child to oral rehearse what they have learnt.

Spellings- Your child will receive a spelling grid with all the words they need to learn throughout the year. They will be assessed each half term and a new spelling grid will be sent home, highlighting the words they can successfully spell. please continue to practice spellings throughout the year.

We will listen to your child read at least twice a week but we ask that children are heard reading at home THREE times a week and that their reading diary is signed for each time they read. This will help your child to receive their reading sticker and gain a prize! Please ensure that if your child uses Reading Eggs that you also write this in their reading diary. Again, we will receive a report of how much access children have to Reading Eggs so please contact Miss Anderson if you have any concerns.

PE

We have PE every Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure that your child's PE kit is kept in school so that they have access to their PE kit at all times.

Please also ensure that your chid has spare clothing in their bags in case of any toilet accidents. These should be kept in school.

Cooking:

We do cooking on a Tuesday. Please ensure that your child has a labelled container in school each Monday so that they can take home their delicious treats.
